PRIMAVERA SOUND and ONE DIRECTION CONCERT
For those who love music festivals, and especially those who have been living in Barcelona for a while, will be very familiar with the increasingly popular Primavera Sound festival. Since 2001 they have been committed to music in the sense that they organize live events for audiences of different generations and tastes in music. The different genres typically include everything from pop, rock, dance music and a lot of underground and indie music. Their lineups over the last decade have included names such as Portishead, Pet Shop Boys, Public Enemy, The White Stripes, The Pixies, Franz Ferdinand and even something for the old school fans including Iggy Pop and The Stooges and The Cure.
The event will take place from 22 – 26 of May at the Parc del Fòrum (near El Maresme Forum metro). Day tickets cost 90 Euros and full festival tickets cost 250 Euros, both of which can be purchased from the official website where you will also see the program and the lineup.
ONE DIRECTION CONCERT
If you consider yourself more of a Pop music fan that likes boy bands, “One Direction” will be performing live in Barcelona for the first time on Wednesday 22 May at the Pavelló Olimpic de Badalona.
This English/Irish band consisting of 5 artists started off by winning 3rd place on the popular XFactor show, and very quickly becoming world famous with their award winning “Up all night” album, which was signed with Simon Cowell´s record label. Their achievements include two BRIT awards and three MTV Video Music Awards. Tickets start from 78 Euros and seem to be selling fast!
